May I say the following in summation:
1)To do a successful lecture demonstration one must think about the baseball game. The players show up hours in advance and take batting and fielding practice to groom for success. The lecture and lecture demonstration also needs practice and preparation.
2) Lecture demonstrations are like notes and composition in music. The presentation is the creative effort of the maestro in concert. I have very few original compositions, but the way I play them comes the originality. Like music, we can all play in one form or another. Experience and practice raises the skill to another level. To all the compositions I have borrowed I say thank you to the composers. Woody Guthrie said it was ok to steal his songs becasue he stole from everyone else when someone said he music was being stolen. So it goes with me.
To quote Bragg again....stop the slides and lets see some deomonstrations!
